Brand Concept
Entranced by flight and the machines that make it possible, Rufus Rand Jr. committed his life to aeronautics—flying and fighting, engineering and adventuring. Rufus and the other pilots who came of age in his generation found themselves interconnected by invisible signals—radio waves that traveled from ground to sky and from pilot to pilot.
By necessity, the lingo that evolved for their communication was short and specific. While the exact phrase "over and out" may be an invention of Hollywood, it's the combination of two actual signals that indicate the end of a transmission—as well as rough coordinates for the intrepid to discover our indoor-outdoor rooftop restaurant. This concept presents a modern take on the golden era of air travel with a bold, minimalistic look.
This concept was presented to the client as one of four initial design directions and does not reflect the current restaurant branding.
